: : : I have a portfolio of stocks with some investments beginning from 2.28.97
: : : I request a performance report for the period 12.31.98 - current.

: : : In the performance report, the "beg value" column should reflect value as of 12/31/98.
: : : That column does not at all report the value as it should be. In some instances, it picks up the cost and in some, it picks up the value based on prices from prior months to 12/31/98.

: : : In such instances, I went in to check if closing prices were available for 12/31/98. They were actually available and I am baffled as to why this is happening.

: I went back and found that setting the beginning date to the 1st day of the period solved the problem. Thanks,

Hi Michael,
In general all reports and graphs are inclusive of gains/changes on the
starting date. Beginning values are the beginning value on the start of
that date, which is determined by the closing price of the day prior.

Thanks,
Mark
