: Can the Fund Manager program generate performance and asset allocation reports based on different industry segments - such as Finance, Health, Technology, Internet...

: For example, if I own :
: 1) Intel and Lucent in a Fidelity account, and own
: 2) Cisco and Microsoft in a Smith Barney account.

: Can I view all these holdings under a "Technology" so that I know total technology assets regardless of the holding institution?

:
: Thanks,

Yes. You would want to create an investment for each of Intel, Lucent, Cisco, and Microsoft. You can assign each of them an asset type (as well as Investment Goal). These labels can be adjusted from the defaults under "Options/Category Labels...". You can then view the asset type pie chart by selecting it from the Graphs menu.

For creating portfolios, you might want to put the Cisco and Microsoft in a portfolio called Smith Barney. You could then create another portfolio called Fidelity and put Intel and Lucent in that one. For a third portfolio, create a portfolio called "All" or something like
that which contains all 4 investments. Use the All portfolio when updating prices so you only have to do one retrieve.

Thanks,
Mark
