: : I have about 40 investments in "my_data" file when I open it with "explore" in Win98. When I open "Investments" in Fund Manager there are only 30. How do I get the other investments into Fund Manager? Background: My computer died about a month ago. I had "my_data" on 3.5 flopy, about three disks. I downloaded new version (4.0) of Fund Manager on my new computer and am trying to bring my portfoio up to speed in the new version.

: When you use "File/Open Investment(s)..." in
: Fund Manager it has the file filter of *.dat
: on by default. Could some of your files
: not have this extension for some reason?
: When looking at your my_data directory you
: may be seeing both investment and portfolio
: files.
: Thanks,

Dear Mark,

Your message with correct detection of my problem preceeded my red faced attempt to ask you ignore my request for help by minutes. As you correctly anticipated I decided to "rename" some of the files. When I renamed them I did not add the ".dat". I appologize for taking your time. I thank you for the attention. (All these things look so obvious when the answer is provided.) I greatly appreciate your program.
