Stock splits and "Cash-In-Lieu"

When stock splits result in partial shares the owner receives "Cash-In-Lieu" from the company. Entering the split in Fund Manger results in fractional shares. Mark mentioned in reply to another post on this subject to correct this with a entering a redemption. This "false" redemption which corrects the number of shares also shows up on the capital gains/loss at the end of year, however. Is there any other method to handle this partial share from stock split problem in Fund Manager. Gerald
