stock split inconsistencies in FM 4.0

IBM split 2 for 1 today (5/27).

If I enter the split transaction with today's date
(5/27), the Cost/Value graph is correct but the
Portfolio Value report for today is wrong (value
is half what it should be).

If I enter the split with yesterday's date (5/26),
the Cost/Value graph is wrong (spikes yesterday and
returns to normal today) but the Portfolio Value
report for today (5/27) is correct.

Am I correct to assume the date of a split transaction
should be the effective date of the split (so the
graph is correct and the report is wrong)?
