: : Mark,

: : I'm auto-updating FM 4 (password protected) 2 separate server passes :-). The windows scheduling program
: : I use sends a key to handle the PW protection. While FM is updating each xxx.mm.4 (portfolio page) is
: : in full view, defeating the whole purpose of PW protection. Any chance of a new commandline switch
: : which would display a spash screen during the updating process. Any screen other than the actual
: : portfolio one would be fine.

: Hi Ian,
: This is sort of a strange situation... You
: are entering the password, so you would expect
: to be able to see your investments. If you are
: using a shortcut to kick off the retrieve, you
: can start FM minimized, which would prevent the
: graphs from displaying.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Mark,

If I'm using a PW and starting minimized, updating, then shutting down (all minimized)... command line switches /I/Q, wouldn't
I run into the "shutting down from minimized" bug?
I don't think my second pass would start FM successfully??

BTW I found out the hard way re this problem. I actually ended up uninstalling / reinstalling
to get FM to run after shutting down minimized. Because of this I'm not too keen to experiment
with the minimized deal. Now that I understand whats happening I feel a lot better though.

I realize that I'm probably one of very few running this program automatically, however Its sure a
time saver after a couple of weeks away. No more manually updating each day at a time.

Cheers,
Ian
