: : : : Hi Mark,
: : : : I installed the new module 227, still having problems with Yahoo. Also tried Stockpoint and Checkfree, no help. Some fund charts will not update. I have the Dow S&P and Nasdaq charted, they will not update.

: : : : Help.

: : : : Thanks, Larry

: : : Hi Larry,
: : : I just tested retrieving the Dow from Yahoo and it worked properly.
: : : Could you check your symbols? The Dow should be ^DJI for Yahoo. It may
: : : be different on the other quote servers.

: : : Thanks,
: : : Mark

: : Hi Mark,
: : I think I found the problem. The charts that were not updating were in a portfolio. When I closed the portfolio and viewed the charts individually I found that each had been updated. In otherwords, they were not updating properly inside the portfolio. I again opened the portfolio, then Closed each (problem chart), then reloaded it into the portfolio and saved the portfolio. Will see if the problem is still with me when I update this evening.

: : Thanks, Larry

: I had the same problem getting quotes from Yahoo. After reading Larry's message I tried his technique of closing the portfolio and then reestablishing it.It worked. Smart cookie that Larry. If this continues to be a problem is there a permanent fix?

Hi Bob,
This sounds like an issue with the ending dates of your graphs not "floating",
instead of an issue with the quote server. There is no relationship
between a portfolio and the ability to retrieve prices, other than specifying
the quote server. You can use "View/Dates..." to reset your graph's date
range. You can then use "File/Save Portfolio" to memorize these changes.
Also, after a retrieve, you can use "Edit/All Data..." with the "Prices" data type
selected to see if your prices were really updated or not.

Thanks,
Mark
