I currently divide my stocks by the logical business groupings used on the ASX eg construction, internet, healthcare etc. There are I believe around 28 divisions so I use the asset table in Fund Manager for this (not quite the original intention I believe Mark).
What I am searching for is a location that I can download indexes showing the market performance of these sectors - they are basically indexes and I often see graphs in magazines comparing performance of a share against a sector.
Do you know if these indexes are available and where/how I can downlaod them ^AORD is really only a start I need to drill down a little further.
