I have to admit the situation is more complex than I thought. I tried various situations today, before and after close of trading.

When I tried to update a portfolio with only a few ticker codes, it mostly worked on plain vanilla (3 character) ticker codes, but sometimes not.

When I tried to update big portfolios, some codes did not update ( examples: AKC CML CBA CPU NAB ORI PPT TAH TEL ). However when submitted as part of smaller portfolios, these mostly updated.

Usually the first few codes in a portfolio updated, with problems arising later in the list.

Ticker codes of the form XXXHX (income securities) never update -- as they once used to. Nor do codes like XXXGX. However XXXCX (instalment receipts) now seem to work, as do XXXDX (one form of preference share) or XXXPx (another form).

I am a bit puzzled, but (a) I know that all the data are there somewher on the ASX site; and (b) it would be really nice to be able to get it in one go, or even two.
