: Mark,

: A problem already known :

: FM is installed in the E:\Program Files\Fund Manager directory. It is a new installation under Windows 2000 Professional. Whenever I try to update prices I get the following error message:

: Could not create internet output log file 'C:\Program Files\Fund Manager\inlog.txt' Check directory specifications in registery key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\. . .\directory location.

: I have checked the mailing list, I have seen your response :

:
: : Hello,
: : The solution is to re-install FM right over where it is installed
: : now. This will re-set up your registry keys that got deleted when you
: : reinstalled Windows. There are other keys besides just this one that
: : will be affected.

: I have done that :

: 1) Remove FM;
: 2) Re-boot the computer;
: 2) Re-install FM.

: It still do not work. Any ideas ?

: Thanks for your excellent product !

Hi Martin,
You do not need to uninstall or reboot your computer. After you install
FM to your E:\Program Files\Fund Manager directory your registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\directory location

should have a value for "help" that points to this installed directory. You
can check to make sure this is true using "regedit". The value specified
here will be where FM tries to create the internet log files. Also, make
sure that this directory has availabe disk space and is not marked as Read-Only.

Thanks,
Mark
