I recently did a reformat of my hard drive and when I installed Fund Manager 4.7, and opened my backup of the investment files, all the settings for 300 securities were lost. Does File-Backup... do the trick? : : Clarke : Hi Clarke, : If you use "regedit" and go to the registry you will see: : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Investment Goal Labels : and : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Asset Type Labels : This is where the names you've customized under "Options/Category Labels" : Thanks, Well I looked for those two things in the registry but they were not there. Is that because I reinstalled the program after setting up a new hard drive? So am I correct in understanding that I must somehow backup the Beiley registry to save all my settings? How do you do this? It would be a great feature if Fund Manager had a backup/restore option that could easily backup and restore everything. I often reformat or get a bigger HD, and it would make me a lot more comfortable with the program if this feature was included. Clarke
