: Mark:

: Hi. I downloaded FM 5 beta and decided to go back to FM 4 but only kept the data itself backed up on my home system. When I reinstalled FM 4 and copied my data back to the FM directory it all works except my asset type/investment goals which I had previously customized and now have reverted to "user defined..."

: My office copy of FM 4 was never overwritten (I didn't install FM 5 there), and still has the customized settings. But I need to know the registry keys for these two items so I can export the settings to my home computer to get the customized settings back.

: Thanks as always.

: Kim

Hi Kim,
Did you uninstall 5.x before reinstalling 4.x? That would cause you to
lose your custom labels. As you know, they are stored in the registry, and
uninstalling clears out all FM registry entries. Here is where they are
stored:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Asset Type Labels
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Investment Goal Labels

You can use "regedit" to export/import these keys.

Thanks,
Mark
