: What's the best way to change the cash account to a new broker or fund? If I pick a new account for the cash account from the list, how can I select the date it becomes affective? What if I already have some transactions recorded that went into the old, wrong cash account?

Hi Clarke,
I believe you are asking how to change the default cash account? You
do this under "Options/Preferences.../Other". It becomes effective as soon
as you change it. You can't retroactively change the account, so that prior
transactions are moved to this new account. If you have old transactions
in the wrong account, you would delete and re-enter them into the new
account. If there are many of them you could export/import the transactions.

Thanks,
Mark
