: I have been using Infobeat for daily prices for some length of time (2 years?). About 3 months ago or so they went throough some "operational interruptions" where service was gone for days at a time. It would come back and then go away. I thought they had disappeared.

: When they did come back they had changed the format where the activity date was 8/25/2000 (every day) and the prices were carried out to 12 or so decimal digits or so (e.g., DJIA, $10725.7998046875, GM, $51.5629997253418). "Eventually" they corrected the date, but the decimals are still wrong. I emailed several times, but have given up. They are non-responsive to my emails.

: Additionally, you have to be careful that they run the extract "late enough" to have the closing numbers -- too frequently they show some interim value or yesterday's,or $0.

: Because of these errors I am unwilling to import their numbers automatically. It is a shame as I know of no other source for automatically receiving daily prices.

Hi Dick,
Since the "Internet Retrieve" feature has been available in Fund Manager,
importing from InfoBeat has not been very popular. The internet retrieve
is faster and easier. All you have to do is click one button on the toolbar
and all your prices are updated. It is the preferred method for updating
prices, and you have your choice of many different quote servers. For more on
this feature see:
