That's true for most US exchange stocks but my portfolio is mostly Canadian equities and they require a prefix or suffix to identify the exchange and the fact that they are CDN companies. Different quote providers handle the prefix/suffix in different formats thus effectively 'changing' the ticker symbol. Oh well, our beer is stronger. :-) Thanks anyway.
