: I've been using FM for years to keep track of dividend reinvestment plans. I've never attempted to look to see the number of shares of any particular stock accumulated over many years (I've simply looked at the statements I get). I wanted to check the number of shares shown by FM with those on the statement, but could not see any way in FM to see the total number of shares for any particular stock.

: Found nothing in the Help index.

: Does FM have the ability to simply tell the current number of shares of a particular stock?

Hi Dave,

Yes, there are several ways. You can use "Edit/All Data..." and use
the "Prices" data type. It will show you a daily list of the share price
and number of shares owned. It will show data for each date you have a
recorded price.

You can also use reports to view the share balance. For example, the built
in report "Portfolio Value" will show the share balance for the date of
the report.

Thanks,
Mark
