: I am comparing a portfolio of stocks with the performance of a particular mutual fund (which pays regular dividends). The comparison is vastly different when I use the "value" model compared with the "NAV+Distr" model. I.E. in one case the portfolio is way aheed in the comparison and in the other the overlaid investment is. Which model would give the most "fair" comparison?

Hi Kaveh,

They should both give you a fair comparison of the performance. One is just
value based, the other based off "price + dist.".

There is a known bug in the "value" version of this graph, where the
money transferred in/out is calculated using the closing share price on
the date of the transaction, rather than the actual transaction price. They
can be different. If you'd like, I can e-mail you a temporary copy with
this fix, to see if this is the cause? If you have transactions where you
bought/sold at a significantly different price from the closing price, this
can cause the errors to show. This bug will be fixed in the next release, but
I didn't think it warranted a release all on its own.

Thanks,
Mark
