: Mark, I keep getting a timing out message when downloading my data from Yahoo. Can this be changed with a COM+ setting on Microsoft XL or what? I want to upgrade to your Professional version and I want the computer to download continuously as changes occur and I do not want to have any time out problems. What do you suggest? Additionally, I am interested in finding a way to automatically link my report to an EXCEL spreadsheet. Currently, I copy and paste the information. However, I would like to find a way to make this happen automatically. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for all your help. Ron Rubinoff

Hi Ron,

Usually the Yahoo server is a very good one. Do you get timeouts if you
try a different server, like PCQuote? You might try doing the retrieve
with the following option in the opposition state:

Options / Internet Settings... / Proxy Server / Use Windows Setting

If you use your browser to go visit Yahoo, do you get data returned quickly?

I don't have any better ideas for transferring a report to Excel than
what you're already doing. If you're just looking for price data, you
could make use of the "prices.csv" file that is left in the Fund Manager
folder after each retrieve. For report data though, right now the best
method is the copy/paste.

Thanks,
Mark
