: Dear Mark,

: I am evaluating FM. It seems to be just the kind of software I need. But after 3 nights, I am still struggling with graphing. I have scanned the recent postings and could not find the answers. I would be appreciated your help with the following questions.

: - in the Portfolio/investment overlay - price + distributions graph, a extra curve called Portfolio appears even I have never created this investment. How do I get rid of this Portfolio curve?
: - is there way to change the decimal numbers from 2 to 0 (12.00 to 12), for example, on the price scale?
: - it seems the default price scale for a new investment is 10,000. Is there a way to change default value.
: - Aside from Help in the software and Tutorial, is there a manual or additional instruction?

: Thanks in advance.

Hello C. Chen,

Thanks for trying out Fund Manager. Let me try to answer your questions.

: - in the Portfolio/investment overlay - price + distributions graph, a extra curve called Portfolio appears even I have never created this investment. How do I get rid of this Portfolio curve?

This graph type overlays the normalized total portfolio with whatever
investments you select for overlay. That is the purpose of this graph. If
you don't want to overlay the portfolio, use the "Graphs / Investment Overlay"
graph type instead.

: - is there way to change the decimal numbers from 2 to 0 (12.00 to 12), for example, on the price scale?

Yes. See "Options / Preferences... / Display / Significan Digits".

: - it seems the default price scale for a new investment is 10,000. Is there a way to change default value.

You can set the price scale to anything you want using "View / Scale...". By
default the scale is set to autoscale. It will cover the whole region of
your data for the time period being graphed. This sounds like you have
some price recorded at 10,000 somehow? What graph type are you looking at?

: - Aside from Help in the software and Tutorial, is there a manual or additional instruction?

Those are the two primary methods. If you have any other questions
you can use this message board.

Thanks,
Mark
