: : : : : : Is there a problem with yahoo quote server? : : : : : : I've been connecting to this for the last two to three years with great reliability. : : : : : : The last week I've been unable to connect. : : : : : : The FM page just gives me an update as of April 3, 2004 with no more recent updates. : : : : : I get the same results as Clarence - nothing. I have version 3.36 : : : : Hi Alvis, : : : : Version 336 is the latest retrieve module. I just now tested it, and : : : : it appears to be working properly for both of the Yahoo historical servers. : : : : What symbol are you trying to retrieve? What if you turn on "Options / : : : : Preferences... / Confirmation Notices" and then do a retrieve. How many : : : : prices does it say it updated? : : : : Thanks, : : : : Mark : : : : -- : : : : Mark Beiley : : : : : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP/2003 : : : : : : : I tried 11 symbols; my usual procedure is to retrieve all prices since 12/31/1989 - "Could not update any investments" : : : Try [USNA] - I changed the portfolio to just this one issue - same result. I can retrieve from Unadjusted Historical. : : Hi Alvis, : : Thanks, I finally was able to reproduce the problem. It would only : : occur if the "Use Windows Setting" was turned off for the proxy server. : : This option was not in 5.x, so it was always off in that version. : : I've updated/released version 337 of the retrieve module. Please use : : "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates..." to get the new : : retrieve module, and this should correct the problem. : : Thanks, : : Mark : : -- : : Mark Beiley : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP/2003 : : : : It's better - but did not retrieve volume or hi/lo history. Hi Alvis, The Yahoo (Adjusted Historical) only retrieves closing price, the others have not been "adjusted". If you want historical volume, high, low, and open use the "Yahoo (Historical)" server instead. Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
