Hi Mark: I am going to be one of your customers!

To the point: I want to use to auto-import/auto-creation feature. It seems like the "Generic" option is most flexible.

However I need to be able to specify different "investments" that may have the same "symbol". It would be nice to be able to specify both "SYMB" and, e.g., "INVSTMT" fields. I imagine that the "Investment" would be used as the default filename, whereas the "symbol" would be used for subsequent quote updates.

Background: I want to be able to track, in one account, different sets of "investments". On the other hand, these different investments may involve the same underlying stocks. I would have a "master porfolio" with all the investments included, and sub-portfolios containing each investment subset. Then I can generate reports about each of these portfolios.

Is this the right approach? This is not a multiple-account issue. If you want more background of my needs to suggest a better solution, we can take it offline.

Cheers & thanks!
