inception date vs. initial purchase

Doing a report, and when I ask the funds to be sorted by Inception Date, it seems to be NOT either the date of initial purchase or the date of historical first data which is (also) different for each fund/security.
Where am I going wrong....???? FM ver 6.4.337.....

PS- Has FM been upgrades yet so I can jot notes on my price curve for each stok? If Photoshop and low line graphics programs can do this, how bout us???
