: Hi Mark; : Since the Beta of FM 7 doesn't have any help files yet could you explain the procedure to up date FM from Bank of America? Hope I can use the Quicken file that will be obtainable with out giving out sensitive account info or SS #. : Lawrence Hi Lawrence, Sure. We do support retrieving transactions from Banc of America Investment Services. You will need to have an online account set up with them. Some broker/fund companies actually have a separate account for this service. It may be called Direct Download or Web Connect. It is the same feature used by Quicken and Microsoft Money to download transactions. Once you get signed up with your broker/fund company you should receive an ID/password. You can then set up a sub-portfolio for this broker/fund company, and assign this ID/password to the sub-portfolio properties. To do this, just open up the new "Portfolio Editor" with "View / Portfolio Editor...". Right click on any portfolio, and choose the option to create a new sub-portfolio from the popup menu. On the "Portfolio Properties" dialog there will be a "Transaction Retrieve Settings..." button. This is where you assign which broker, the user ID, password, and account number for this portfolio. Then, just do an internet retrieve of your transactions. "Edit / Internet Retrieve / Transactions..." will do the retrieve, or you can press the button on the toolbar. I hope this is what you were asking about? Or, were you trying to import a Quicken file? If so, what file format do you have? The above transaction retrieve is a much easier/nicer way to get your transactions into Fund Manager than importing, but we do support importing both QIF and OFX/QFX files.
