: : Mark - Thanks got it working and it is a great feature, however I came across a couple things of interest:
: : 1. Do not see a way to indicated reinvested dividends. It is being handled as a dividend distribution and a separate purchase.
: : 2. Dividends earned on the default cash account is being treated as a dividend and a purchase, which doubles the amount.
: : 3. Also no way to indicate that a redemption in the default cash account is an account fee.

: Hi Gary,

: Glad you got it working. Fund Manager retrieves the information as reported
: by your broker/fund company. I also have seen that usually a reinvestment
: is posted as 2 separate transactions, a distributed distribution, plus a
: purchase. This is equivalent to a reinvestment. This doesn't seem like
: a doubling of the amount? Was the doubling only happening on your default
: cash account? If a transaction is reported by your broker differently
: than you'd like it recorded (redemption instead of an account fee), then
: you can edit that transaction if you'd like.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Mark - you are correct on how the fund company journals a reinvested dividend, and I don't see a problem it is just different in the way I was handling it. The doubling is only happening in the default cash account.
Thanks
