: Mark,

: When I define the default cash account in the Master Portfolio properties is it carried over to all sub-portfolios or do I have to define it in all of them.

Hi Gary,

When you create sub-portfolios under any other portfolio, that new
sub-portfolio will inherit the default cash account setting for its initial
defaults from its parent.

However, if you've already created your sub-portfolios, and then adjust
the default cash account in a higher level portfolio, that will not
cause all the lower level portfolios to change their default cash account
settings. You can check/change them easily using the Portfolio Editor window.
You can add the "Default Cash Account" field to the list by choosing "View /
List Columns...". Then, if you want to change any sub-portfolio, just
right mouse click on it, and choose "Properties...".

Thanks,
Mark
