: Hi Mark: I built a Master Port and 1 Subport (SCsub1) and then under Investments/Set active port I set the focus to the subport SCsub1. The graph screen then turned blank(black). Setting the active port back to the Master Port paints the previous screen for the investment. Is this how this is suppost to work? I was expecting that when I Set Active Port to the subport that the graph would switch to the top envestment for the subport. What's the correct behavior?

: 2nd Problem/question-- I tried to test the compare of the two portfolio under Port/Inv Overlay/Value graph. I selected the Master and SCsub1 subport under Graph/Options/Port Overlay options. Then moved to the Port/Inv Overlay/Value graph and FM7 did attempt to graph both ports but the SCsub1 value showed to be 0.00 and was a green line along the baseline. Also the listing at the top of the graph was a little unusual. SCsub1 was listed first and then 2 or 3 listing areas were blank and then Master Portfolio. I was expecting the order to be Master and then the subport name next to it.
: When I switched to the Price+Dist graph the value listed for the subport was 10,000.00 and a line along the base line of about 10k. Again I was expecting 2 graphs of the 2 ports relative to an initial investment of 10k.

: Thanks in advance|FC

Hi Fred,

#1) Did you add any investments into this sub-portfolio that you made
active? It sounds like it didn't have any investments. If so, there
are no investments to graph, so the graphs window will be blank. Maybe
it would be better to have some text there, so you know this is the
expected behavior...

#2) It really sounds like there are no investments in your sub-portfolio,
which is why it shows a value of $0. I would double check that you have
some investments in your sub-portfolio? That might explain things. Use
the Portfolio Editor to select your sub-portfolio on the left, and then
see what investments are shown in the right hand side of the window.

Let me know if this isn't the case, or you have other un-answered questions.

Thanks,
Mark
