: One of the new improvements stated for Version 7.x is "Unlimited number of portfolios can be open at once". However, there is no information on how to do this in the Help or Tutorial.

: Whenever I open another Portfolio, it replaces the one previously opened. Was Version 7.X supported to do otherwise or am I just confused about this?

Hi Leon,

That bullet probably should have read "an unlimited number of sub-portfolios".
You can still only have one portfolio file (*.mm4) open at once, but each
portfolio file now can contain an unlimited number of sub-portfolios, with
unlimited hierarchy. To create a new sub-portfolio use the "Portfolio Editor"
by selecting "View / Portfolio Editor". It works a lot like Windows Explorer.
Just right mouse click on some portfolio, and choose "New Sub-Portfolio"
from the popup menu. You can copy/paste investments, sub-portfolios, and whole
hierarchies, using the portfolio editor and the clipboard. You can even
copy across portfolio files (*.mm4), so you can consolidate all your previous
portfolios into one if you'd like.

Thanks,
Mark
