: Mark,

: All I want to do is save a transaction report contents in CSV format.

: I'm struggling to find how to do that.

: I'm sure you'll quickly point me to the correct info.

: Incidentally, Re your advice of 9th Dec 2003 shown below, this info doesn't seem to appear in the index of Version 7.

: Also, when I tried to reply to that query, I was rejected as I didn't supply a security code - which I had never heard of till I created this new message.

Hi Don,

We don't have an option to directly export a report to a CSV format, but
you can pretty easily still make this happen. Just use "Edit / Copy Text"
from within the report, and then paste this into a text file, and save it.
Then, open this text file in Excel, and read it in with the "Fixed Width"
import option. You can then save it from Excel into a CSV format.

Some time ago we added a required "security code" in order to post a message
here. This was to prevent automated tools from spamming this message board.
Old notes didn't have the field available to enter this security code, which
is probably the problem you ran into. You should now see on all notes
the option to enter the security code, which is also shown right next to
that field in red.

The online help was completely re-done in 7.0 to be HTML based, so we may
not have all the exact same keywords as before. There isn't much detail in
the online help on these export formats. Mostly they are pretty much just
as they are described, and you can take a look at the resulting exported file.
All those export options are still available under "File / Export".

Thanks,
Mark
