I created a master by opening as many of the investments that the program would allow (unfortunately I have more than 500). How do I get my exsisting portfolios listed under the master? Like Tbone(1/05/05) all my accounts say that thry are master. I would like all of them to be sub-portfolios under my newly created master. And will I need two masters since I cannot open all the investments? Thanks, Bill : : : : You'll want to use the "Portfolio Editor". The : : Thanks, : Mark, : I have seen this question or similar several times on the post-board. It seems to me people are saying they'd like to be able to create the master, then open their old portfolios and then call them sub-portfolios. (I know I wanted to do this). When you open an existing portfolio, FM calls it the master. So (I believe) you have to open all of the individual investments, then create your sub-portfolios and then move the investments to the proper sub-portfolio. I have not been able to find a way to bring in an existing portfolio in an already-opened master and then add the existing as a sub-portfolio. Seems like that's what people want to be able to do, but can't figure how to do it (if, in fact, it can be done). : Thanks, : Bob
You're right, this has seemed to be a very common question. I just put http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/tutor_ports.html Thanks,
