: In FM 7.1 I attempted to retrieve transactions from my Fidelity 403b account. I did this from the subportfolio where I keep these mutual funds. I used the exact name of each fund that Fidelity uses when transactions are downloaded. When create new investments as needed is checked, FM creates a duplicate fund for the transactions and allows me to enter each of these transactions into the duplicate fund. Of course my original fund files are do not get the transaction information. If I set FM not to create duplicate funds, I get an empty window for the transactions to be entered. The only difference I noted was that the created duplicates did not have the symbol of the fund, otherwise the name was the same.

Hi Loren,

When Fund Manager tries to match up downloaded transactions to your existing
investments it first tries to match on the symbol. It sounds like Fidelity
is sending down an empty symbol. What you can do is remove the symbol
from your investments and then Fund Manager will match on the Name field
instead.

Due to this I'm seeing the need to have the option to record multiple
symbols. You could have one for price retrieves and another one for
transaction retrieves.

Thanks,
Mark
