: I apologize for asking a complete newbie question. I'm looking at the professional version of fund manager, and I want to know if you can combine portfolios together. I will be importing data for about 30 accounts, but they actually represent only about 10 portfolios. Is there a way to combine them either physically or logically. This could especially be a problem because sometimes 2 accounts that are to be combined have one or two stocks that are the same.

: Thanks a bunch.

Hi Donald,

Yes, you can indeed do this. You'll want to use the "Portfolio Editor" to
help you manage/organize your investments into sub-portfolios. You can
have as many sub-portfolios as you want, and they can be as deep in hierarchy
as you want. For a tutorial on using the Portfolio Editor please see:

For the case when multiple accounts have the same stock/fund, but with
a different transaction history you would just want to create a new
investment for each. This way, you can track the transaction history
separately. If you create the investments manually just assign them each
unique filenames.

Please do feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Mark
