: i am running a investment performance report. i believe that the report should give me info on how the investment performed, regardless of how many shares owned or not owned. correct? after entering the dividends on zero shares, it asks me to enter the dividends (eg .38/share) again because there are no shares, then records the amount of dividends in gadzillions of dollars, perhaps actually more than that, but i can't count the number of digits because it is far more than the space shows. obviously i can't get a realistic report like this.

Hi Jeffrey,

Are you still using a 4.x version? I believe this problem is because of a rounding issue in FM. If this problem still shows up in 7.x I'd like to know about it, so I can fix it. You can temporarily install 7.x to a new folder, and operate on a copy of your data files. Please be careful, as if you save your investments or portfolios with 7.x you won't be able to open those in 4.x anymore, which is why working on a copy is a good idea.

Thanks,
Mark
