I have set this sub-portfolio as the “Active Portfolio”. However, as mentioned earlier on this board, the PRC (Internet price retrieval) button retrieves prices for all the open investments across all the sub-portfolios. Is there a way I could do a selective price retrieval ?. I tried the solution suggested on this board dated 31st Jan 2005, in reply to a similar query, but I am unable to achieve the results. After I “select” the investments, when I use the "Retrieve Selected Price" option, Fund Manager still retrieves only one investment (the one on which I choose the right-click option). Am I missing something ?. : (2) An option to retrieve only the “Active Portfolio” investments will be very helpful. Could this be considered in the next (minor) upgrade ? : Thanks, : Amit
1) As you've learned, the "Active Portfolio" does not control which investments get retrieved. By default, all open investments get retrieved. The technique mentioned above should work. You can either select the investments in the right pane of the portfolio editor, or you can right mouse click on any sub-portfolio. If you select investments, only those investments will be retrieved. If you select a sub-portfolio, all investments in that sub-portfolio will be retrieved. 2) I think this feature pretty much exists today. It isn't the "Active Portfolio", but you can easily retrieve for any specified portfolio by just right mouse clicking on it, and choosing "Retrieve Selected Prices". Thanks,
