: Hi Mark, Well I managed to update after I changed to Windows setting from the proxy. The problem persists. If I tick the windows setting from proxy and leave the INTERNET SETTINGS with windows setting tick it reverts back to proxy. I am running on MS2000. I have tried about 10 times and the tick returns. FYI I do have the wininet.dll file in my system32 folder of windows.

: It would appear some portfolios can update and others keep on defaulting back to the proxy setting even if I change it to windows setting.

: Hope you can help!!!!!

Hi Danie,

I wanted to verify we are talking about the same option? If you select "Options / Internet Settings..." there is an option called "Use Windows Settings" that can either be on/off. The state of this option is memorized in the registry. You should be able to turn it on/off and have it stay that way the next time you start Fund Manager. You can use "regedit" to verify that the state of this option is getting saved properly. Please look at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Internet Retr

and check the value of "wininit". It will be either 1 for on, or 0 for off. If it is only working when this option is off, you can just leave it off.

Thanks,
Mark
