: Hi Mark: I've just recently purchased a new computer and am about to install it. When I upgraded the last time and sent in a check, I believe I sent the extra for a CD of the program (at least, to the best of my memory I did but it's been a while). I have not received the CD of the program. If I didn't, I can send the additional now. I'm currently using Fund Manager PV7.2, QM 365, TM 111. I have current backups of the .dat files.

: How do you suggest I proceed???

: Other observation -- new computers (most of the computers I considered when buying) do not have a floppy disk drives. I can buy an external USB Floppy disk drive. Have you considered making it possible to backup to a DVD-RW or CD-RW using a DVD burner?? It might be a good addition to FM.

: Thanks in advance

Hello Chuck,

First, there are some tips on transferring to a new computer here:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/newcomputer.html

Our records do show you paid for and were send a CD on 1/29/05. If you don't have it anymore, you can download the program from our web site, or purchase another CD online. We've released a couple of maintenance releases since then anyway, so it would be good to get the latest version. Right now that is 7.2.

Thanks for the feedback/idea about burning a backup. If you have any CD/DVD burning software you should be able to use that to burn a backup of your investment and portfolio files.

Thanks,
Mark
