: Mark: In the past, Distant past, when I set up some portfolios, I designated one file of a portfolio (usually a cash account or a money market fund) to be the cash box to supply cash for purchases or receive cash from sales or distributions in this portfolio. I've gone through the index as well as I can but don't find the "How To's" for doing this for a new portfolio I'm trying to set up.

: Would you please -- I appreciate your help greatly.

: Thanks, Chuck Pierce, Dana Point, CA

Hi Chuck,

Yes, this option moved from where it was before... It moved because now there are multiple sub-portfolios, and you can assign a default cash account for each one. Just use the "Portfolio Editor" (View / Portfolio Editor) and right mouse click on any sub-portfolio, and choose "Properties...". Here in the Portfolio Properties Dialog you can assign a default cash account.

Thanks,
Mark
