: : : : : Is it possible to produce a report with the following columns (in this order):security, quantity, unit cost, total cost, price, market value, percent of assets, unit income, annual income, and yield? Can the column headings be re-named? : : : : : Thanks. : : : : : : : : Yes, this would be using the Custom report. There is no "annual income" field, but you can set the date range to 1 year and request the interest income. The column headings cannot be renamed. You can place the columns in any order you want. For a link to all the available fields in the custom report, see: : : : : http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help/rpt_tp_custom.html : : : : Thanks, : : : : Mark : : : : -- : : : : Mark Beiley : : : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP/2003 : : : : : : : : : As an example could you indicate which field would produce the "unit cost" column? : : : Thanks. : : : : "Unit Cost" can be calculated in a variety of ways. It could be your "out of pocket" cost, or a "tax basis" cost, and use any of several accounting methods to calculate the tax cost basis. So, you could look at these fields: : : OOP basis per share (current) : : OOP basis per share (inception) : : Tax basis per share, AVG (ending) : : Tax basis per share, FIFO (ending) : : Tax basis per share, Specific Lot : : For a greater description on any of these, see the descriptions on this page: : : http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help/rpt_tp_custom.html : : Thanks, : : Mark : : -- : : Mark Beiley : : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP/2003 : : : Mr. Beiley:
: I am considering the purchase of your system and may very well do so; but in all honesty it would be much more attractive if simple reports, such as the one I outlined in my first posting, were more straight-forward to produce. Also, being able to customize the column headings would be an added plus. : Thanks. Okay, thanks for the feedback. We do have a dozen or so pre-built reports you can create by just selecting them from the "Reports" menu. If none of these meet your needs you do have to create a "Custom" report, and select the fields you want. It would indeed be a good option to be able customize the headers.
