stock dividend

How do I enter a stock dividend? I have a stock that for the first two years after issue paid a stock dividend (additional shares of stock issued) in lieu of a cash dividend. This is not a stock split.

When I try to enter this it screws up the number of shares and the price. I tried entering using split and also using other distributions.
