: my 91 year old father asks me every day how well his investments are doing. He asks "so how far ahead or behind am I today?". I have four portfolios that I track for him. I would love to have a % Gain or Loss number for the graph I am looking at that would take into account money coming into and out of the account including dividends, reinvested or otherwise. I just need an overall percentage gain or loss. Is this already available or are you working on it? Is the graph's yield value, at the top right, what I'm looking for?

Hi Arthur,

Fund Manager has both %Gains and Yields. Yields are the most meaningful, as they factor in the time value of money. The "GPH" yield term above your graphs is the average annualized yield for the time period of the graph. This would be a good metric, making sure you have "Return On Investment" yield types displayed.

You can also get %Gain numbers from reports, such as the Portfolio Performance report. The "%Gain - I" takes into account money you've added/taken out, but it doesn't factor in when, so it doesn't time weight like the yields do.

Thanks,
Mark
