: Mark,
: I am running FM7 Pro under Windows 98. My internet access is via dial up through AOL. What I would like to be able to do is have FM7 access AOL, do a price retrieve via the quote server, and if an alert has been triggered page me using the same dial up modem and connection. I thought I had this working a few years back.
: Thanks,
: Gary T.

Hi Gary,

Are you sending the page by dialing a phone number, or with one of the internet supported pagers?

If you're dialing a number, you can tell FM to automatically disconnect your dial-up connection to your ISP after a price retrieve under "Options / Internet Settings...". That way your modem will be available for dialing.

If you're using the internet page feature you wouldn't need to turn that option on.

Also, if it isn't already, you can set up your dial-up connection to automatically connect whenever any application requests access to the internet. See "Control Panel / Internet Options / Connections" and set it to dial your default connection when needed.

Thanks,
Mark
