: : : : Hello--I just purchased FM and am ecstatic to have such an excellent alternative to Quicken. I was able to easily import transactions from a .qif file provided by one investment company. However, the web-connect download from TDWaterhouse was a different story. I established a web connect user ID and password that allows direct download into Quicken (and Investor and WebBroker...yes, they have never heard of FM), but when retrieving, I get the message, "Signon Invalid." I called them again and rechecked numbers, and everything should work. Any ideas why it isn't? Thanks.

: : : Hello MTennant,

: : : I know TDWaterhouse has 2 options for enabling when you call them up. They have both a Quicken and MS Money option. There have been some reports of troubles getting this working with TD Waterhouse before, but if you call them up, and ask them to enable you for both Quicken and Money, this should make sure you are enabled for Fund Manager as well.

: : : One other possibility I've seen before... If you're using any programs like Norton Password manager it will sometimes fill in the password edit box in the transaction retrieve setup dialog, often with a password for something else. Please disable this product, and then enter your account #/password into the dialog.

: : : I personally use TD Waterhouse, so I know it works! :)

: : : Thanks,

: : Yes, well, called Waterhouse to confirm 3x; has been set-up for Quicken. It works in Quicken but not in FM (though glad it works for you!). What a disappointment....this is as time-consuming as Quicken. I had great hopes that FM would streamline the process. It doesn't. (BTW, don't have Norton or automatic password, so not the problem). Your program has promise but I don't have time for more troubleshooting, so will go back to Quicken. No big deal; chalk up the $59 to lesson learned.

: Hi Margaret,

: Sorry to hear you will be going back to Quicken. If you decide you'd like to give it another try, please just ask TD Waterhouse to enable you for "both" Quicken and Money. It sounds like you're just enabled for Quicken only. If it still doesn't retrieve we'll gladly refund your money.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hello Mark,

Read all the info on TDW retrive, called TDW enabled both Quicken and Money. Works like a charm! What a time saver! I remember years ago when I talked you into price retrive; great advances since then! Keep working on the actual yields, really need the data.

Thanks,

Bill
