: Sorry Mark, its been awhile since I needed the forum and I tried the search but didn't get any hits...guess I should have read down a few days :)

: Anyway, from your other posts I get the idea I only need to do a a split and change the symbol in pref. I'm going from a lower NAV/more shares in the old fund to a Higher NAV/less shares in the new fund. How do I figure the "split"??

: thanks!

: : Hello,

: : Need clarification on how to handle the following in FM 5.3:

: : AIM Core Stock Fund(FIIIX) reorganized into AIM Diversified Dividend Fund (LCEIX) w/ a trade date of 7/15/05 and a Post Date of 7/18/05

: : How do I rectify this?? Do I have to "sell" all shares and then begin again with a "new fund"??

: : thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Todd,

You would just record a split with the same ratio as your old to new share balance. For example, if you had 100 shares, and ended up with 80, record a 5 for 4 split. A split can have any ratio you need.

Thanks,
Mark
