: Dear Mark,

: Thank you for your recent comments re my problems with corrupt/unreadable files. My problem highlighted an old issue - you can have a process for backups which you think is going well - until you unexpectedly need the back-up & also find those files are deficient. I presume other users have raised this issue - but auto back up keeps going to same location - so in my case it over-copied some bad data into good files. Auto back-up would work better if it created independant (new) back ups - & then like some applications you can specify how many days of back ups you want to keep. So idealy even if the most recent file is bad you would say only need to go back another day to get a good file. I think this is a big deal because when you have many years of data/transactions you do not want to end up in a mess! Of course there are manual solutions to this issue ... some of us (me) are just plain lazy & moan when things go wrong! ;-)

: Best wishes

: Gary

Hi Gary,

I hear you, and I agree. It would be nice to store multiple revisions, where the user could specify how many revisions they would like to keep. I will put it on the "to-do" list for a future version.

Until then you might want to consider using some dedicated backup software to backup all your important data files, including Fund Manager files. Most of these types of programs do support keeping multiple revisions of your backups.

Thanks,
Mark
