: This report and graph are comparing different scenarios. The Portfolio Performance graph is showing what you actually earned in each investment and portfolio. The Portfolio/Investment(s) Overaly - Value" graph is plotting your actual portfolio value and the hypothetical value of the overlaid investment (S&P 500) as if you had invested all the same money into that investment, the same way you did your portfolio. Since the S&P 500 is doing better on the graph, that is saying that if instead of putting all the money into the investments that you did, if you had used the same money on the same dates and put it into/out of the S&P 500 you would have done better. The information in this overlay graph isn't available in any report, although that would be a good one to add...

Thanks - that makes sense. It would be a nice feature if the software could report the CAGR of the overlay graphs somewhere. It should be easy enough to calcualte : (ending val/begining val)^ [(1/# years) - 1]

For comparison sake I always like to use the S&P as the baseline, starting at inception. I imagine many others do the same.

P.S. Thankfully over the long term I'm crushing the S&P! :)
