: I use FM v 6.7.333 in Windows XP. Is there any way to automatically transfer a single value in one portfolio (say a total value) to a single position in another portfolio?. Cheers

Hello B Fox,

There is no "automatic" way to do this in 6.x. You could manually look at the portfolio value, and record a single buy in another investment for this value. Is there some particular reason you'd like to do this?

In FM 7.x we now support sub-portfolios, so you can get a report broken down by sub-portfolios. For example, on a report, you could have one line item that shows the value of each of your sub-portfolios, and then the total of all sub-portfolios. For an example of such a report, see the 2nd Portfolio Value screen shot at:

To get an idea of how sub-portfolios work, read through:

Thanks,
Mark
