: : : : Hi I have several foreign-cash-accounts and I have adjusted the curreny-settings correctly and the "Exchange Rate adjusted" is also set. But my foreign-cash-accounts (for example USD computed in CHF) will not be updated with the newest Exchange Rates (which are daily updated) , it remains on the same level as I did the exchange. I have no stocks in foreign currency so i dont know if there would be the same problem

: : : : thanks for the answer and the program!

: : : Hi Sam,

: : : Are these foreign cash accounts assigned as your exchange rate investments under "Options / Currency Settings..."? If so, that would cause this problem. Exchange rate investments assigned there will not be adjusted, as they are only used for converting from one currency to another, and shouldn't have a value (no shares owned). You may have already seen this, but here is some documentation on the currency settings:

: : Hi Mark

: : No, for every currency I have created an investment which is updated daily and correctly with the newest exchange rates and these investments are assigned to convert from one currency to another under "Options / Currency Settings...". This is the only purpose for these investment. My cash accounts are now counted in foreign currencies, which I defined in "Options / Currency Settings...". If I do an exchange everything works correctly 10000 USD are computed as 12700 CHF but it remains on this level. If the exchange rate (eg CHF/USD from 1.27 to 1.29) changes the 10000 USD are still computed as 12700 CHF.

:
: Hi Sam,

: It sounds like you've got everything set correctly. Where are you viewing the value of 12700 CHF, and how are you changing the exchange rate price from 1.27 to 1.29 when you don't see the change in the cash account balance? Is this portfolio something you could send me in an email, so I can take a look, and try to reproduce it? If so, just fill out our contact form, and it will display an email address once you submit the form. You can attach the portfolio (*.mm4) and investment files (*.dat) to an email, and I can take a look.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hi Mark

the exchange rate price from 1.27 to 1.29 is a effect of a internet-update of my exchange rates investments.

Now I have seen that value is represented correctly in the Reports! My explanations related to the Portfolio Editor which I am using for a quick overview. In the Portfolio Editor the Price of the cash account seems to be constant on the exchange rate-level the change was done (1,27) - is that correct? In other Words I can not use the Portfolio Editor to have a quick look over my assets in the default currency?

Thanks
