Sorry to hear about the troubles... The Portfolio Editor is meant to work just like Windows Explorer does for moving files/folders. Probably the easiest way to move things is using drag and drop. Select something by left mouse clicking on it, and keep pressing the mouse button while you move it to where you want it to go. If you want to copy it instead of moving it, hold down the "Ctrl" button, and you will see a little plus (+) sign show up on the cursor. Let go of the mouse when you have dragged the selection to the desired destination.
