: Mark,

: I have unchecked the box, saved the investments, saved the portfolio, but when I reopen a sub-portfolio it's back to checked to show all investments again. Am I saving it wrong?

Hi Bill,

That option doesn't change what investments are selected for overlay, it just changes which ones are listed in this dialog box for you to choose from. The initial state of that option is set based upon whether or not any investments not in the active portfolio are selected for overlay. If some investments not in the active portfolio are selected for overlay, that option will be on, and all open investments will be listed. If no investments outside the current active portfolio are selected for overlay, this option will initially be in the off position, so only investments in the active portfolio will be listed.

Thanks,
Mark
