: : I have FM on my home network. FM runs on my notebook and desktop and uses the data on a shared network folder. This is great when I'm at home and the local network is active. : : How do I get the portfolio to look on the harddrive and not to the network folder?
Are you using "File / Open Portfolio..." to open the portfolio from your hard drive? If so, and it is still pointing to your network drive for the investments, then you'll need to adjust the references to the investments. Portfolio files (*.mm4) store the relative path from their location to the location of the investment files they contain. If the portfolio file is on a different drive than your investments, then it will just contain the full path to the investments. If you save your portfolio at the same location as your investments, then you should just be able to copy the whole directory. For more details on this, and an example, see: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help/port_about.html Thanks,
