I would like to just move the stocks from one portfolio to another. If I do that, the hisorical record in both portfolios will no longer be correct. Is there a way to move the stocks while keeping the historical record correct in both portfolios? I also want to maintain the accuracy of the capital gains, yields, etc.
I don't think there is a real good way to do this. Generally, I'd suggest just moving the securities, as this will maintain all the history. Are you no longer going to be using that first broker at all? You could just rename the portfolio if that is the case. Or, you could create another portfolio file (*.mm4), and put a copy of the investment files (that you'll no longer modify) in there. That way, you could pull up that portfolio file if you'd like to look back in that portfolio's history. Just a couple of ideas... Thanks,
